Black in Africa (blackinafrica.com) is part of the Black Travel Network and is run by Hood Box Office LLC. We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA. The site is built on Wix, which provides keyboard navigation, screen-reader labels and visible focus on its standard parts.
What We Do
Pages use headings in order, so screen readers can jump between sections. Images that carry meaning have text descriptions. Text is set in sizes and colors chosen to be readable. Menus, buttons and forms can be used with a keyboard.
Where We Fall Short
Some content is embedded from other platforms, such as YouTube videos and booking partner links, and we don't control how accessible it is. Not every embedded video has accurate captions. Older pages may not meet every standard yet. We fix problems as we find them.
